Three Cheers!

image via Pottery Barn

Three cheers for lucky LondonHIM. He came home with an extra large clawfoot tub from a 1920's home being renovated via his company. The best part - FREE. That's right free of charge. It was going in the dumpster. Now we can use the much smaller clawfoot we already have for the tiny hall bathroom. So now we'll have 2 clawfoot tubs in our beloved bungalow.

If only they were both center fill/drain model!!! They are the bomb. Serious reinforcing of the floors will be required to keep the Bungalow tile from cracking over time. L' L'h

Fabulous! I had a large one of these tubs in my last house and although I have a new big tub now, there is nothing like a cast iron tub covered in enamel. I miss it - congratulations on yours!

Congrats! It sounds like LondonHim drives a hard bargain! The clawfoot is such a classic look.

Thats fabulous and at the perfect price!

Is it in good condition or do you need to restore it?

Thanks! I think so too.
The inside is in perfect shape. The outside and legs are painted nicely. Although I may want to change it up a bit. Possibly gold or silver leaf the legs.

Why do you never post pictures of your actual house?

I've always wanted a claw foot tub but my mommy always said no. I got my own place and I have one now.
