In the Pink

Photography by Andrew Bordwin for House & Garden July 2006

Fresh from the inspiration archives. I had this article marked for master bathroom inspiration. This July 2006 spread from House & Garden by Damaris Colhoun features the Berkshire home of Pine Cone Hill, Potluck Studios (tableware) and Dash & Albert (my favorite rug company) proprietress Annie Selkie. I couldn't resist sharing some more pictures from the warmly elegant home. Enjoy.

Love the tones of pink and sages and blues. It makes for a serene yet cheerful mix.

This is "THE" bathroom !
Such a gentle, peaceful and magical home. Completely inspiring home and a successful entrepreneur to boot. Annie Selkie seems to me to be very much "in the pink".

What a perfect "LITTLE" room. Very civilized and what should be the standard regulation size for all bathrooms don't you agree? I have always loved a fireplace in the bathroom. Sigh....

Oh what an enticing home. I love the first image and the painted wall. It is so inspiring to me as I love painting verdant greens on walls, a natural way to bring the outside in. That bathroom, perfect for a party, me, myself and I in a bubble bath with a book!
Glad your are back posting, missed you!

These are so inspiring! I always adore it when other people put lots of plates on the wall like that... it's just something I've never quite been able to pull off.

Oh, I love the bathtub. I'm a big fan of long bubble baths, especially with a great book in my hand. Beautiful rooms...

I saved this issue for that very article! So beautiful. Sigh. To have a bathroom with so much space would be a fine thing.

Oh! I also pulled these swipes in 2006. I was already an ebay stalker of Pine Cone Hill patterns and once I saw the house I understood why! This is my first time visting your blog but I will certainly be following now that we have this in common! Best, Cat
